High-Temperature Upgrade Solutions for Spindle Bearing

 

1. Rolling Bodies (Steel Balls) High-Temperature Upgrade

Standard steel balls produce thermal fatigue, oxidation and surface peeling under prolonged high-temperature operation, leading to increased vibration and reduced machining accuracy. B7010 rolling bodies adopt dual high-temperature upgrades including optimized raw materials and enhanced surface treatment.

Ultra-high-purity vacuum-degassed steel features uniform carbide distribution, resisting softening and permanent deformation at 120℃–180℃ to maintain stable rigidity. Professional high-temperature anti-oxidation and anti-wear treatment eliminates micro defects, reduces thermal friction and prevents carbon adhesion, ensuring ultra-low spindle runout and consistent long-term precision under sustained high heat.

2. Bearing Cage High-Temperature Optimization

The cage is the most heat-sensitive part of spindle bearings. Conventional phenolic and nylon cages easily age, shrink and deform under continuous high temperatures, resulting in abnormal noise and unstable operation. The high-temperature B7010 bearing adopts fully optimized heat-resistant cage solutions.

Fiber-reinforced phenolic cages and PEEK polymer cages apply to 120℃–200℃ working scenarios, with low thermal expansion and excellent anti-aging performance to avoid operational jitter. Brass and silicon bronze cages support heavy-load operation above 200℃. Factory-calibrated pocket clearances adapt to thermal expansion, prevent ball clamping and overheating, and completely eliminate cage-caused high-temperature bearing failure.

3. Sealing System High-Temperature Upgrade (2RSD Structure Customization)

Standard 2RSD seals made of ordinary NBR rubber age, harden and crack under high temperatures, causing grease leakage, dust and cutting fluid intrusion and premature bearing damage. High-temperature B7010 bearings adopt upgraded heat-resistant sealing configurations.

Viton fluororubber seals replace traditional NBR rubber, supporting long-term stable operation at 200℃ and peak temperature resistance up to 250℃ with outstanding thermal aging and oil corrosion resistance. Retaining the original zero-friction 2RSD non-contact structure, recalibrated sealing lip clearances effectively block high-temperature oil mist, metal powder and vapor. This prevents internal grease contamination and carbonization, greatly extending service life in harsh high-temperature workshop environments.

4. High-Temperature Lubrication Medium Upgrade

Lubricant failure is the leading cause of high-temperature spindle bearing damage. Ordinary lithium-based grease thins and carbonizes rapidly above 100℃, losing lubricating performance and causing dry friction, overheating and spindle jitter. This upgraded B7010 bearing adopts dedicated high-temperature lubrication matching.

PFPE perfluoropolyether grease or polyurea high-temperature grease is applied for strong oxidation and coking resistance, maintaining complete lubricating films under 180℃–220℃ long-term operation. The grease filling rate is optimized to 1/3–1/2 of internal space to reduce high-speed stirring heat. For ultra-high-temperature continuous production, oil mist and oil-gas circulating lubrication is recommended to realize real-time heat dissipation and lubricant renewal, completely solving high-temperature lubrication failure risks.

5. Internal Clearance & DBL Pairing High-Temperature Calibration

Standard P4S bearing clearance disappears after thermal expansion, causing clamping stagnation, excessive friction and spindle burnout. Combined with B7010 exclusive DBL back-to-back pairing structure, professional high-temperature clearance and preload optimization is essential.

UL micro-negative clearance and C3 high-temperature dedicated clearance reserve sufficient thermal expansion tolerance, ensuring stable dynamic clearance without stagnation or excessive runout under continuous heating. Recalibrated factory DBL preload avoids rigidity attenuation caused by uneven thermal expansion, maintaining stable anti-deflection performance and consistent machining accuracy during long-term high-temperature spindle operation.

6. Ring Forging & High-Temperature Heat Treatment Upgrade

Bearing inner and outer rings release residual stress and produce thermal deformation under cyclic high temperatures, reducing fitting accuracy and causing spindle runout failure. Optimized forging and stabilized heat treatment processes are adopted for high-temperature adaptation.

Secondary high-temperature tempering eliminates internal residual stress, improving dimensional stability under alternating temperature conditions. Ultra-fine raceway grinding stabilizes surface hardness and finish, preventing micro-deformation and precision drift. This process retains original assembly accuracy and rotary rigidity after thousands of hours of high-temperature operation, reducing spindle calibration frequency and precision failure rate.
